- 25.3. The Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria calls on the international community to build an international court for ISIS members in Syria.
- 26.3.- 28. 3: 3rd Syrian-Syrian Dialogue Forum took place in Kobane.
- Celebrations over the military defeat of ISIS were held across North Eastern Syria, bigger ceremonies were carried out by YPJ in Heseke and SDF in Qamislo.
North East Syria after defeat of ISIS caliphate
YPJ stated at their ceremony over the military defeat of ISIS that their next aim is to liberate Afrin. Read more
The Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria called on the international community to establish a international tribunal for captured ISIS members in northeast Syria. Read more
The Foreign Ministry of France is reluctant about the idea of an an international court in Syria, stating that it would cause difficulties. Despite this, it favors the prosecution of ISIS members in the place they committed their crimes. Read more
Also at the 10th PYD congress in Europe, the Kurdish politician Zubeyir Aydar repeated the call for an international court for ISIS members in Syria. Read more
At the request of the Russian government the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria handed over to Russian authorities three children whose mother is suspected of IS-membership. Read more
The Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) Spokesperson Amjad Osman said that Turkey still intends to invade the region of Northern and Eastern Syria. He appeals to international powers that they should support the defense of Northern and Eastern Syria. Read more
On the ground
The 3rd Syrian-Syrian Dialogue Forum, initiated by the Syrian Democratic Council, was held in Kobane, focusing on uniting the Syrian opposition in order to lead a radical democratic transformation of Syria. Read more
The Turkish Army bombarded villages in al-Bab region. Qarat, Wiran, Korhayok and Al-Bogaz were targeted. Al-Bab region has been occupied by Turkey since February 2017. Read more
In Manbij a checkpoint of the Self-Defense Forces got attacked by a Turkish-backed group. Seven members of the Self-Defense Forces got killed. Read more
